UTS, the Ultimate Timepiece & Service
OK, so UTS actually stands for Uhren Technik Spinner but if you ever dealt with UTS, you'd understand.
Every watch produced by UTS has a soul considering that one person, Herr Spinner, machines and assembles each piece personally.
The ceramic ball bearing system on the bezel of my 3000M PVD is amazing and the lockig bezel mechanism is flawless.
I ordered mine with PloProf hands and the attention to detail was quite nice. The dot on the locking mechanism was painted orange to match the minute hand.
Stephen Newman deals with each customer as though you are his only customer. He listened to my requirements and made it happen.
As with a 600M chrono I ordered from him, he ensured that I received the watch(es) with the time and date already set to your timezone and that the bracelet is sized to your wrist.
Back to the watch... don't be intimidated by the height. The body is perfectly balanced and comfortable with the bracelet as well as the rubber strap.
These watches function as advertised and built to do what they're supposed to do. I wore the 3000M on my dives in Curacao and the dial easily readable at depth. The bezel action was smooth and the locking mechanism such a convenience.
I definitely drank the UTS kool-aid and after only a month with the 3000M, I'm already looking for a way to fund a 2000M Pacific Blue Horizon.

7 and counting
Stephen, Why have I bought 7 watches from you? Besides the fact that I love these UTS watches. Your service and attention to detail ae what bring me back! I am happy to support you and Herr. Spinner by purchasing my watches from you. I love the fact that I can interact with the owner of the company. The latest watch I purchased is the 2000m diver, one with a black dial and another with blue. This watch is by far the best diver watch I own. I do love my UTS 1000m, also and find it to be a great watch. I really cannot say enough good things about you guys. If anyone needs more convincing they can call me direct!

UTS 1000M
I am a Panerai fan and was looking for a dive watch. After lots of research on the internet, I came across UTS Watches and was immediately drawn to it. The uniqueness of the watch and the already highly praised brand got me a difficult task to choose one. I decided on the 1000M Diver with limited edition black dial. I first called Stephen and was interested in going on site in southern California to see the watch in person, however, there was no showroom. When I talked to Stephen, he was very pleasant and accommodating. After much discussion and my being picky on numbers, he got me my one special edition 1000M Diver. The watch arrived very quickly and I was immediately happy. The weight of the watch is substantial yet comfortable. The bracelet was already adjusted perfectly to my wrist size as Stephen asked me during my ordering. I have this watch on my wrist daily since I got it a few months ago. A totally satisfying experience with Stephen and absolutely amazing watch. I already had one comment for it. Thanks Stephen.

3000M and PVD Diver Chronograph
Between the two of these exceptional watches, I'm pretty much set for life, never mind the fact that my collection includes examples from Rolex, IWC, Omega, Kobold, Ikepod, and Panerai (to say nothing of my vintage pieces). Were I to sell them all off tomorrow, it wouldn't matter so long as I still had these two beauties in my possession; to say that UTS stands heads and shoulders above the rest is an understatement. The attention to detail is astounding, and the craftsmanship almost defies belief, particularly in light of the fact that a single person is responsible for the construction of both watches.
Where to begin? The 3000M (white lume dial, in this case), is an elegant beast that is perfectly balanced on my wrist in spite of its considerable heft. The bezel -- floating on ceramic ball bearings -- turns with delectable precision, and the lume stops just short of being radioactive. And while I'll never come close to approaching it's rated depth limits (unless I was tossed overboard in the Marianas Trench with lead weights attached to my ankles), the fact that it's engineered to such a degree to survive at 3000 meters is an incredible feat in anyone's book.
As for the Diver Chrono, I'm almost at a loss for words. The PVD finish is flawless and durable, the contrasting anthracite subdials with their concentric guilloche are stunning, the counters reset precisely to zero, and as with my 3000M, the lume is nuclear (the lumed subdials are a nice touch as well). And then we have the reverse-action locking pushers that screw down in the opposite direction of pretty much every other chronograph on the market. It's such a terrific idea that one is forced to wonder why no one thought of it sooner. Well, Herr Spinner thought of it, and that's all that matters.
Mr. Newman was a true gentleman throughout every aspect of our correspondence, from my first tentative email to the hour-long phone call that preceded my order. He is personable, knowledgeable, open, honest, and genuinely in love with his work and the products that he sells -- and believe me, it shows. My watch showed up fitted perfectly for my wrist, with the time and date set, as well as a personal note wishing me well with the impending birth of my second child. In all my life, I don't believe that I've ever received such treatment from the owner of a company whose products I was purchasing.
All in all, dealing with UTS was a delight from beginning to end, and I look forward to adding more of their fantastic pieces to my collection in the future.
Regards, Adam

Being a collector I'm always buying, selling, trading, etc. The UTS watches I own are the ones that will always remain in my collection. They are well built, unique watches that can take everyday wearing no matter what you do.

Bauhaus 1000m Divers Watch
Bauhaus 1000m Divers Watch
A couple of weeks before Christmas 2008, my wife, Ludmilla, suggested I pick out watch that I would really enjoy. At first I protested because there are many more important things in life than expensive material possessions (although I wish I could say with truth that I do not fall prey to such temptations); and anyway, the watches to which I was attracted seemed to start at $6000; another weakness on my part.
Nonetheless, having recently acquired and then given away a Rolex Sea Dweller, the one Rolex model to which I really 'took', I did look into the matter. And true to its reputation, that Rolex helped pay for my wife's medically necessary spine surgery. Many less expensive watches, bar a few, seemed relatively 'lightweight', still too costly and, basically, unremarkable. Then I stumbled upon UTS watches on the internet. After researching the matter very carefully, I bought a black-faced UTS Bauhaus 1000m divers watch with a black PVD-coated bezel, and a brushed steel mesh bracelet. I simply love it.
Ever since we went to Bavaria to have Dr. Rudolf Bertagnoli implant four beautifully made artificial discs in her lower back, curing her of a USA-defined 'incurable' and debilitating lower back pain, we have held a soft spot and tremendous respect for Bavaria and those there who looked after us so well. It just so happens that UTS watches are made in the same part of Germany, something that heightened my interest in them. This may sound sentimental, but so what? That coincidence was only the beginning. My research confirmed the quality and value of UTS watches. Must one be a professional diver to appreciate this particular watch? I think not (but it helps if one can at least tell the time).
The service, delivery and personal attention paid me by Mr. Stephen Newman, the USA-based partner of the German watchmaker, Mr Spinner, was perfect. His sales approach was low key, professional, and attentive. He followed through on every promise beyond the call of duty. He even assured me that this hand crafted timepiece of Swiss and German origin can easily be fixed by other fine watch repairers should help ever be needed beyond that covered by the warranty.
This hand made watch--not available in stores--has 'heft' and simplicity of design making, simultaneously, a commanding yet somewhat understated impression. It maintains a far higher level of accuracy than did my near-twice-the-price Rolex (gaining only about 3 seconds a day); and it is truly unique being only # 36 of 200 made. It is also surprisingly comfortable to wear considering its size and mass, the watch case being well balanced by the strong and elegant, almost tool-like, stainless steel mesh bracelet. The workmanship and attention to detail is outstanding. Conceptually, it reminds me of the meticulous care and skill rendered by the orthopaedic surgeon who gave Ludmilla's life back to her and to whom we shall ever be grateful. Obviously, this watch means far more to me than the sum of its parts. Yet even as a 'mere' watch I would recommend it over any other. If you must first save to buy one, then do so. After all, it is only a matter of time.........

Mr
I bought an Adventure watch (with the manual Unitas 6497 caliber), about two months ago and I like it very much so far. It´s been one of the watches I wear most, and is surprinsingly confortable for a big watch. The clean dial appeals to me. I would only ask UTS to sell an optional nicer, higher end, leather strap for it, although I know most buyers will probably wear theirs on the nice bracelet or mesh steel band. I would recommend the UTS brand to anyone. My other watches are Sinn, Anonimo, Rolex, and Panerai. The UTS stands comparison with any of them.

UTS 1000 PVD Meter Diver
This watch exceeded my expectations. There is a high degree of quality evident in the case and bracelet construction. The watch is balanced and wears extremely well on the wrist. Overall, a great deal of value for the price!
